'The Sounds of Silence' are the UK's number one tribute to the music of American folk duo Simon and Garfunkel. Made up of Dan Haynes and Pete Richards, they perform the songs of Simon and Garfunkel in much the same way as they did in the early years; with just a single guitar being the core for their delicate harmonies.

Having performed alongside each other for many years, their voices have become finely tuned, blending together perfectly in harmony to create a magnificent recreation of the sound of Simon and Garfunkel. They began playing together in college, learning various covers of their favourite artists for their own personal enjoyment. Then, with a mutual passion for the music of Paul Simon and a natural gift for singing close harmonies, they began to learn Simon and Garfunkel songs, paying particular attention to the perfect harmony, timing and diction of the original and live recordings. Encouraged by friends and family, the pair began to perform to wider audiences, eventually naming themselves 'The Sounds of Silence'.

With subtle re-works, combined with original and live versions that Simon and Garfunkel themselves performed; 'The Sounds of Silence' capture the magic of the songs that so many of us know and love. Their voices blend together in harmony to capture the essence of what made the songs so endearing. With a show full of poetic lyrics, beautiful harmonies and melodic guitar, 'the Sounds of Silence' remind us why Simon and Garfunkel were, and are still regarded as one of the greatest folk rock duos of all time.
